Does this step fit you?

Who is the training for?

Experienced tax consultants, law firm managers and specialists for demanding client and compliance issues.

What prior knowledge do you need?

In-depth knowledge of client examination, as well as experience with complete files and legal sources; knowledge recommended according to level 4.

Your concrete added value

You train in dealing with cases where normal factual correction, legal advice and serious abnormalities are closely related. This strengthens your ability to justify decisions in an understandable way and to openly identify technical boundaries.

Complex case assessment · Information context, counterarguments and sources

That's what you're working on in this training.

  1. Order information according to its context

You distinguish findings from the current accounting of information from a separate legal advice. For every information, you document the timing, occasion and significance. This makes it visible why uniform treatment of the entire file can be too short.

  2. Read professional regulations in connection

You compare the German baseline with the selected AMLR regulations for non-fulfillable due diligence measures, register deviations and notifications. An exception is not accepted on a flat-rate basis, but is examined on the basis of its specific information and activity.

  3. Alternative explanations methodologically worthy

You confront a burdensome interpretation with an objectively plausible counterposition. You will then check which additional document or official decision could actually advance the reasoning. Limits of transmission and unexplained legal issues are explicitly documented.

Your learning goals

  • Accounting knowledge and legal advice separately.
  • Apply derogations on the basis of their conditions rather than flat-rate.
  • Objectively compare the factors that alleviate and those that substantiate suspicion.
  • Write a reasoned note with a clear need for clarification.

From knowledge to a well-founded case solution.

Fictional practice case · Tax consultant

Booking correction or targeted concealment?

In the case of current accounts, conflicting service descriptions are evident. Later, the client asks for legal advice to correct previous information. A new explanation relieves part of the process, leaves other questions open. You examine the information contexts and justify alternative test paths.

In focus: Special features related to counselling and careful separation of facts and assessment.

Your Exercise

Write a balancing note on a client file with contradictory information. Explain what information comes from which area of activity and how an alternative assumption of facts would change the test path.

Your work result and proof of participation

A differentiated case assessment with sources, information contexts, counter-arguments and concrete further testing requirements.

How this relates to your daily work

You can represent difficult mandate issues in the expert discussion more structured and specifically seek additional advice. At the same time, it can be explained in a comprehensible way why an open question has not yet been settled by a flat-rate acceptance.

Planned: 5 hours of training. With space for application.

The planned pure training time is 300 minutes. It includes knowledge transfer, application at the practice case and joint evaluation. Breaks are added. The data are planning values; we coordinate the concrete process before the training.

  • Information contexts cleanly separated
  • Derogations examined precisely
  • Counter-arguments and sources appreciated
