Does this step fit you?

Who is the training for?

For experienced tax advisers, money laundering officers and professional managers for difficult client dealings.

What prior knowledge do you need?

Advanced knowledge and experience with complete client files; practical level or comparable level of knowledge.

Your concrete added value

You develop a differentiated reasoning that also withstands critical questions. This will identify the facts that bear the position, which counter-arguments exist and which additional information could make a reassessment necessary.

Weigh patterns of errors, explanations and legal limits

That's what you're working on in this training.

  1. Developing competitive explanations

You examine a recurring booking pattern and first formulate several plausible explanations. Then you assign the supporting and conflicting documents to each statement and determine what open fact would be decisive for further evaluation.

  2. Check the context and sources of advice

You separate findings from different mandates and examine their importance for the relevant reporting issues. Original standards, board notes and available case law are examined for their specific reference to the facts and limits of a transfer.

  3. Give reasons for a qualified conclusion

You provide a technical opinion with counterposition and verifiable supporting documents. The evaluation focuses on whether the conclusion follows from existing facts, reveals uncertainty and describes the further need for clarification for the firm precisely.

Your learning goals

  • To systematically compare recurring accounting errors and alternative explanations.
  • In this respect, I would like to thank the rapporteur for his excellent report.
  • To examine sources and case law for concrete transferability.
  • To formulate a differentiated conclusion with counter-arguments.

From knowledge to a well-founded case solution.

Fictional practice case · Tax consultant

Unclean accounting or model that needs to be explained

Several companies book similar consultancy services, while evidence of performance and payment assignments remain incomplete. The client refers to organizational errors. Examine this statement and counter-arguments, take into account the respective advisory context and examine relevant case law, as far as it is available in the case.

In focus: Link ambiguous accounting information, mandate context and legal evaluation in a differentiated way.

Your Exercise

You write an opinion on an ambiguous client case and then react to a reasoned counterposition as well as an additional evidence submitted.

Your work result and proof of participation

A source-based assessment with a comparison of evidence, alternative explanations and clearly identified limits of the evaluation. After completing the training, you receive a participation certificate and a participation Badge for your sector and level.

How this relates to your daily work

You practice the professional preparation of particularly sensitive client decisions. The method supports a factual internal discussion, in which neither discharge arguments nor unexplained indications disappear behind a flat-rate evaluation.

Planned: 5 hours of training. With space for application.

The planned pure training time is 300 minutes. It includes knowledge transfer, application at the practice case and joint evaluation. Breaks are added. The data are planning values; we coordinate the concrete process before the training.
