Does this step fit you?

Who is the training for?

For employees in customer service, sales, account opening and first material processing as well as beginners in money laundering prevention.

What prior knowledge do you need?

No in-depth GwG knowledge is required; you should be aware of the basic procedures of a bank.

Your concrete added value

You can collect customer information in an orderly manner and see why the transaction expected at the opening of your account is later compared with actual payment transactions. Questions to customers or internal bodies can be prepared more concretely.

Consider customer onboarding and ongoing monitoring together

That's what you're working on in this training.

  1. Client, representative and beneficial owner

You work on a fictitious account opening request and distinguish the roles involved. Collection and verification of identity information are explained by selected documents; missing information is kept visible and assigned to the appropriate next step.

  2. Building an understandable customer profile

You record business model, purpose of the account and expected payments. The exercise shows how a comprehensible initial profile can be created and which information is particularly helpful for a later comparison with the actual business performance.

  3. Include instructions from payment transactions

You compare first account movements with the customer profile. A conspicuous deviation is described as an investigative initiative and classified internally; documentation, competence and basis of a possible reporting review are explained without treating a hint as a fixed result.

Your learning goals

  • To assign customer roles and identification documents in a comprehensible way.
  • Describe the purpose and expected course of an account connection.
  • Compare actual payments with the baseline profile.
  • Pass on unexplained information internally with source reference.

From knowledge to a well-founded case solution.

Fictional practice case · Banks

Company account with unexpected payment receipt

A new client describes regional trade in goods. The first major payment receipt comes from a company not yet mentioned. Compare the existing information with the payment and separate documented customer information from outstanding questions about the transaction.

In focus: Compare customer profile and actual account movement for the first time structured.

Your Exercise

You complete the profile of a corporate client and compare it with a short statement. Formulate appropriate queries and an ordered internal hint.

Your work result and proof of participation

A customer profile with an overview of participants, comprehensible information gaps and a first documented payment arrangement. After completing the training, you receive a participation certificate and a participation Badge for your sector and level.

How this relates to your daily work

You practice the connection between customer contact and internal inspection. The structure supports understandable queries and makes clear which information other banking areas need for further processing.

Live online training

Planned: 3 hours of training. With room for application.

The planned training period is 180 minutes. It includes knowledge transfer, application at the practice case and joint evaluation. Breaks are added. The data are planning values; we coordinate the concrete process before the training.

This is what the evaluation depends on.

  • Deviation concretely and objectively described
  • Further step clearly justified

Documentation of the test performance

After passing the optional assessment, you receive a record of achievement for this level explicitly identified as an assessment credential.
