In the self-paced course, the times are guidelines for your own learning pace.

We use teaching case studies based on real practical questions. Individual advice on ongoing client matters is not provided during training.

Does this step fit you?

Who is the training for?

For employees in customer support, transaction monitoring and compliance with initial experience in case handling.

What prior knowledge do you need?

Knowledge of customer reception and ongoing monitoring; introduction or comparable knowledge.

Your concrete added value

You can not only mark a payment as unusual, but also name the specific need for clarification. This facilitates queries between sales, customer support and testing team as well as the comprehensible continuation of an investigation process.

Examine payment relationships and document findings

That's what you're working on in this training.

  1. Read payment patterns in customer context

You look at a sequence of inputs and outputs together with the documented business model. The purpose of the payment, time context and associated companies are described before delimiting possible explanations and the remaining information needs.

  2. Check proofs and customer declarations

You compare invoices, delivery details and a customer response with the account movements. In doing so, you will examine which statement is actually substantiated, which document concerns another process and which question could close the crucial information gap.

  3. Connect investigation and risk classification

You process selected requirements of §§ 14 and 15 GwG and assign them the case information. In the result note, you document investigation, declaration and remaining questions, including the impact on further ongoing monitoring.

Your learning goals

  • Investigate related payments on the basis of the customer profile.
  • Match explanations with appropriate transaction statements.
  • Connect risk assumptions and concrete information in a comprehensible way.
  • Document test results for ongoing monitoring.

From knowledge to a well-founded case solution.

Fictional practice case · Banks

Regional trade and cross-border payments

A company customer describes a regional trade, but receives payments from several countries and forwards parts of it. Invoices only explain individual transactions. Investigate the context and specify which explanation is supported and what information is missing for further classification.

In focus: Match transaction patterns with business model, receipts and customer responses.

Your Exercise

You analyze a fictitious statement with supplementary invoices and create a prioritized query list. Then you evaluate a new answer based on its actual evidence.

Your work result and proof of participation

A documented investigation process with a payment overview, comparison of evidence and justified further processing requirements. After completing the training, you receive a participation certificate and a participation Badge for your sector and level.

How this relates to your daily work

You train the processing of monitoring instructions in connection with the customer relationship. The method helps to avoid unnecessary general queries and to identify the basis of each evaluation for other workers.

Live online training

Planned: 3.5 hours of training. With space for application.

The planned pure training time is 210 minutes. It includes knowledge transfer, application at the practice case and joint evaluation. Breaks are added. The data are planning values; we coordinate the concrete process before the training.
