Does this step fit you?

Who is the training for?

For experienced auditors, compliance employees and money laundering officers with responsibility for more demanding customer cases.

What prior knowledge do you need?

Secure knowledge of transaction verification and risk assessment; advanced level or comparable practical experience.

Your concrete added value

You can prepare reliable decision-making bases for money laundering officers and responsible management levels. The note shows which measure is justified by what information and why a single hit does not yet replace a full case assessment.

Weigh indications and prepare professional decisions

That's what you're working on in this training.

  1. Evaluate different indications separately

You're working on a possible PEP name equation, an unclear business connection, and unusual payments. First you check the identity assignment and factual basis of each clue; then you examine its meaning in the overall picture of the customer relationship.

  2. Reasoning for in-depth action

You assign specific case characteristics to selected facts of § 15 GwG and develop appropriate further investigations. Source of funding, consent and intensity of monitoring are treated as separate issues and linked to the respective conditions.

  3. Prepare reporting and communication

You check the prerequisites for a possible message and document counterarguments as well as information gaps. A proposal for a decision combines result, responsibility and next steps; planned customer contacts are additionally examined in the relevant ban on information sharing.

Your learning goals

  • To correctly assign search hits to a person prior to their use.
  • Intensified measures are derived from specific risk-debt stocks.
  • To distinguish between risk assessment and reporting verification.
  • Create decision templates, including communication issues.

From knowledge to a well-founded case solution.

Fictional practice case · Banks

Company customer with several unexplained clues

A company customer shows unusual payment movements, a difficult-to-understand participation link and a possible name parallel in a PEP research. Investigate the clues individually, clarify their links and explain which measures and reporting questions are to be dealt with on the current information basis.

In focus: Weighted overall rating without mixing hits, risks and reporting requirements.

Your Exercise

You prioritize several hints about the same customer relationship and develop a coordinated test plan. A supplementary information will then lead to a targeted revision of your initial assessment.

Your work result and proof of participation

A case-by-case decision-making template containing weighted information, source documents, measures and separate reporting verification. After completing the training, you receive a participation certificate and a participation Badge for your sector and level.

How this relates to your daily work

You practice the professional coordination of more complex processes between audit, customer support and the responsible body. The documentation shows what facts the decision bears and how changes can be understood later.

Planned: 4 hours of training. With space for application.

The planned pure training time is 240 minutes. It includes knowledge transfer, application at the practice case and joint evaluation. Breaks are added. The data are planning values; we coordinate the concrete process before the training.
