Does this step fit you?

Who is the training for?

For experienced compliance auditors, money laundering officers and responsible for complex customer and transaction cases.

What prior knowledge do you need?

Advanced knowledge and experience with complete banking cases; practical level or comparable level of knowledge.

Your concrete added value

You learn to condense extensive information on decision-making issues. Your opinion makes clear which business logic is proven, which statement is only asserted and which further clarification remains necessary for a professional decision.

Weigh commercial explanations, evidence and counterarguments

That's what you're working on in this training.

  1. Analyze payment and control structures

You form relationships between customers, companies and payment parties and assign the existing documents to them. The exercise separates actual control information from mere name links and examines the economic context of several successive transactions.

  2. Check explanations and sources against each other

You compare a business statement with conflicting information and search appropriate official sources as well as available case law. In doing so, you check whether the comparative case fits objectively and which assumptions have to be substantiated for the transfer.

  3. Formulate a reasoned overall position

You provide an opinion that combines individual results, risk assumptions and reporting question in a differentiated way. The evaluation investigates counter-arguments, remaining uncertainty and possible consequences for ongoing monitoring; general judgements are replaced by comprehensible reasons.

Your learning goals

  • In the case of a Member State, a Member State may require that a Member State be able to provide information on its own accounts.
  • Business explanation and evidenced facts consistently distinguish.
  • Consider counter-arguments and appropriate case law for load capacity.
  • To formulate a limited overall assessment with further clarification.

From knowledge to a well-founded case solution.

Fictional practice case · Banks

Plausible trade and unexplained diversions

A company customer establishes multi-stage cross-border payment methods with international trade in goods. Some delivery receipts fit, others remain unclear; a related company only occurs later. Develop counter-positions, appreciate the documentation and justify the overall provisional classification, including open reporting and monitoring issues.

In focus: Dedicate a complex customer relationship with competing explanations differentiatedly.

Your Exercise

You write a case assessment and rework it after a well-founded counterposition from customer support. An additional document checks which statement of your first evaluation actually remains viable.

Your work result and proof of participation

A differentiated overall assessment with payment overview, evidence assessment, counterposition and justified tasks for further processing. After completing the training, you receive a participation certificate and a participation Badge for your sector and level.

How this relates to your daily work

You train demanding coordinations about complex customer relationships. The method supports a transparent technical discussion and shows which findings could justify a changed evaluation or an adjustment of the monitoring.

Planned: 5 hours of training. With space for application.

The planned pure training time is 300 minutes. It includes knowledge transfer, application at the practice case and joint evaluation. Breaks are added. The data are planning values; we coordinate the concrete process before the training.
