Who is the training for?

Lawyers and experienced law firm employees with duties in the acceptance of mandates and company law file processing.

What prior knowledge do you need?

Basic knowledge of the money laundering audit and roles involved; cross-entry possible with comparable practical experience.

Your concrete added value

You can see which data actually belong together and where a register extract or client declaration does not yet carry a completed audit. This allows you to prepare future data collection more specifically and avoid unnecessary queries.

Advanced · From client information to verifiable evidence

That's what you're working on in this training.

  1. Comparing data requirements

You compare an existing admission form with the AMLR identification rules selected for teaching. For each indication, you determine who it concerns, which source it can prove and which adjustment should be prepared in the form.

  2. Investigate ownership and control separately

You work with a social structure from several levels of participation. Cross-border cases, involving exactly 25 per cent, illustrate why existing German and future European standards need to be examined separately and control rights need their own test step.

  3. Editing deviations in a comprehensible way

You compare shareholder list, proxy and register information. Different topicalities are first described and clarified. You will then examine the original text, which special questions arise in case of disagreements and legally protected information.

Your learning goals

  • Describe identification and verification as separate work steps.
  • Assign evidence to the right person and role.
  • Examine ownership percentages and special control rights in parallel.
  • Document register deviations with date, source and clarification step.

From knowledge to a well-founded case solution.

Four shareholders and a different voting rights

Four people each hold exactly one quarter of a client company. An additional agreement grants a person special decision-making rights. You work on the situation separately for today's German stand and the future AMLR scale.

In focus: Quota limit, independent verification and reliable allocation of supporting documents.

Your Exercise

You're reworking an incomplete client file. For each missing or contradictory statement, you will formulate a concrete follow-up request and explain how its response would affect the next test step.

Your work result and proof of participation

An audited stakeholder overview and a well-founded supplementary list for the future client intake.

How this relates to your daily work

You can talk to colleagues and software providers more precisely about required data fields. The exercise also facilitates technical control of whether a seemingly complete file is actually documented intelligibly.
