We use teaching case studies based on real practical questions. Individual advice on ongoing client matters is not provided during training.

Does this step fit you?

Who is the training for?

For tax advisors and experienced clerks who supervise ongoing accounting or advisory mandates.

What prior knowledge do you need?

Knowledge of client intake and general due diligence; introduction or prior knowledge.

Your concrete added value

You avoid non-specific queries and can show the responsible tax advisor where information is different. This makes the requirement for documents, risk classification and subsequent maintenance of files more comprehensible.

Identify inconsistencies and ask focused follow-up questions

That's what you're working on in this training.

  1. Read supporting documents in connection

You present service description, invoice issuer, booking text and payment recipient side by side. A structured comparison shows which deviation is only unclearly documented, which explanation has already been substantiated and which point needs to be further clarified.

  2. Updating client structures

You're working with a changed shareholder list and an older client record. In doing so, you check the topicality of the information, distinguish ownership and control, and formulate a justified need for additional information about the supervised companies.

  3. Connecting Risk and Query

You compare the requirements of general, simplified and enhanced due diligence with the original text. In the case of a mandate, you will determine the circumstances behind the classification and how the proposed further scope of examination results from them.

Your learning goals

  • Compare contract, invoice, booking and payment methodically.
  • Clear declaration and unexplained objection expressly separate.
  • See changes to the client structure in the file.
  • The need for documentation and risk classification is justified on a case-by-case basis.

From knowledge to a well-founded case solution.

Fictional practice case · Tax consultant

Consultation contract with different payment

A client submits a consultation contract and an invoice with different performance data. The receipt of payment comes from another company. Compare the documents, examine possible links and justify what information is missing for the technical classification.

In focus: Deduce specific queries and proofs from mandate and booking documents.

Your Exercise

You create an orderly clarification list from several conflicting booking records. Then you rework them on the basis of a subsequent explanation by the fictitious client.

Your work result and proof of participation

A comparison of evidence with source assignment, prioritized queries and justified need for further evidence. After completing the training, you receive a participation certificate and a participation Badge for your sector and level.

How this relates to your daily work

The method supports a comprehensible handling of unclear accounting practices. You can document queries, client responses and remaining evaluation points in such a way that other law firm employees can continue the process.

Planned: 3.5 hours of training. With space for application.

Voluntary additional option · planned +30 minutes

You decide if you're going to take an additional exam.

Training is also possible without additional final examination. After completing your training you will receive a certificate of participation and a badge of participation. A proof of passing an examination requires successful participation in the voluntary supplementary examination.

Test format

Your exam task

You examine a new set of documents and justify the order of the queries as well as the meaning of the differences found.

This is what the evaluation depends on.

  • Full cross-check of evidence
  • Inconsistencies described without prejudice
  • Evidence and risk issues concretely justified

Documentation of the test performance

After passing the optional assessment, you receive a record of achievement for this level explicitly identified as an assessment credential.
